THE FINAL FILM

Role & creative decisions

My responsibility
VFX compositing and selected AI-assisted shots within the commercial’s wider production.
Creative focus
Extend the filmed world while keeping the performances and the visual continuity of the commercial intact.
Key decisions
Use the filmed plates as the anchor for environment extensions and object integration. Keep character and architectural references consistent in the AI-assisted shots.
Delivered work
Environment composites, integrated details and selected AI-assisted imagery. The comparisons below show my contribution alongside the original filmed plates.

THE PROJECT

Filmed on set. Extended in post.

This project brought together live-action performances, football memories and a world extended in post-production. My contribution was the VFX and a selection of AI-assisted shots. The work ranged from replacing blue-screen surroundings to integrating objects and developing additional imagery that could sit alongside the filmed material.

Shot comparisons play silently on loop.

01 / ENVIRONMENTS

Beyond the blue screen.

The blue-screen footage holds the essential part of the scene: the actors and their performances. The composites place them inside a finished interior, carrying the same setting through close-ups, the group shot and the reverse angle. The television insert gives their attention a clear destination and connects the room to the football story.

These four comparisons show the filmed plate above and the composite below.

02 / INTEGRATION

The details that hold it together.

Some changes shape the whole frame; others should pass unnoticed. These comparisons move from carpet and background adjustments to the boy’s overhead shot and an object-integration sequence. Their role is continuity: making the separate visual elements feel as though they belong to the same photographed world.

03 / AI-ASSISTED IMAGERY

Extending the visual possibilities.

AI-assisted imagery added selected coverage around the boy and the villa. The character reference establishes the face, haircut and Qatar shirt across views; the exterior reference establishes the architecture and night-time atmosphere. The important question is how the added imagery relates to the live-action footage in character, light and composition.

04 / BEHIND THE SCENES

Before the composite.

The finished image begins with people on a set. These photographs show the blue-screen setup, the ensemble shoot and the boy’s scenes before the final treatment. They place the post-production work back in the context of the wider production and the team behind it.

DOHA BANK / VFX CASE STUDY

The effect serves the story.

For this Doha Bank commercial, my focus was to connect the filmed material and the added imagery into a coherent visual experience. The breakdown makes those interventions visible; the film brings them back into the story.
